Collagen

We use Cosmoderm and Cosmoplast Collagen® for wrinkles and lines around the mouth and the edges of lips. For those small vertical wrinkles of the upper and lower lip that lipstick runs into, Collagen is still #1 in our office. Recently we have been getting better and more lasting results by placing a small amount of Restylane or Juvederm immediately below the Collagen, to hold it up and reinforce it.

We use the Cosmoplast Collagen for depressed and valley-type acne scars, because we think it works better for these. After a topical anesthetic, a tiny needle places the collagen in the mid- to upper- dermis.
